I'm new to NG and I love offering constructive criticism on art platforms, but I see people tend to retaliate because they don't like hearing/reading anything negative about their piece. I know people can't often take criticism even when it's supposed to be helpful, but I've been told constructive criticism is offered frequently on this platform. So far I've seen quite a few people tell criticizing commenters to "f off".
Do any people actually like receiving constructive criticism on here??

Newgrounds has its fair share of artists who will naturally get defensive of their works, so it’s a maybe, I guess.

It's ok to be defensive since it is something the artist cares about and put love into, but critical advice is meant to help and encourage. Taste can be a huge factor as well
